10 Years Of Exhaustion; A Breaking Point

With all the challenges facing prison reform, perhaps the easiest to address is the lack of humanity, and compassion. It takes a toll as year, after year, after year it digs deeper, and deeper, until it reaches the point breaking point. Yet, even with all the soul crushing despair created from being in prison, Bobby still manages to find a way to look for the positive. (mama c)

Bobby reaches a breaking point in prison amid the financial stresses of hunger as he attempts to deal with surviving while surrounded by diminishing resources.

What starts out as general conversation about the exhaustion of trying to keep your head above water, turns very emotional towards the end.

In this episode Bobby talks about using“store” to help ease the hunger. The general public may not realize that store items are funded by family and friends who send money to inmate prison accounts. Prisons don’t supply inmates with hygiene, sports equipment, college, phone calls, school supplies, medical call outs, or resources to be productive. These items are ALL funded by their inmate prison accounts…again…which come from family and friends. They are not hand-outs, which is a big misconception outside of the prison walls.
